2. Acceptance of Order
A contract of sale will exist between yourself and us once an order has be received by email and full payment has been received. However, acceptance of the contract will only be deemed complete at the time we send you an email confirming the processing of your order. You should, on receipt of the confirmation email, check that the details of the order are correct, print out the email and keep a copy.
Once we have accepted your order these terms and conditions only shall govern the basis upon which our supply takes place unless otherwise prior agreed by us in writing.
You undertake that all details you provide to us for the purchase and delivery of goods are correct and complete, that any credit/debit card (or other banking method) used for payment is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods ordered. We may choose at our discretion to decline any order where payment and address details cannot be satisfactorily verified.
3. Terms of Payment and Pricing
Goods are supplied against fully cleared payment at the correct price ruling at the time of ordering. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.
Prices displayed on our website product pages are in £ GBP and include UK VAT @ 20% In our website shopping basket, there is a facility to display prices excluding UK VAT for the purposes of export outside of the EU and for intra-EU trade with other EU VAT registered companies. There is also a facility to display prices in € EUR for European customers.
Prices exclude any post and packing/shipping charge which in most cases is calculated automatically by our website shopping basket by adding the relevant items to the basket and selecting the appropriate destination country for delivery. Prices and post and packing/shipping charges are subject to change without prior notice.
If pricing errors appear on our website or other communications or are made by our staff when providing quotations, we reserve the right to amend such errors.
4. Stocking Policy and Shortages
Under normal circumstances, we hold very good stocks of items listed on our website. Where an item is out of stock for some unusual reason, we will attempt to display this on the website and will advise you when acknowledging your order and offer you the option to cancel. Otherwise, you will have the option to wait for the relevant items to allow completion of your order or by agreement have a part-order sent.
5. Product Specifications/Alterations
As part of an ongoing process to further improve our products, we may from time to time change detail specifications of products offered without prior notice.
6. Suitability of Products
Whilst we prepare all website materials with all reasonable care, you should ensure that any products purchased meet the particular and unique requirements of your project(s) and are only used in a safe and correct manner in properly managed studio environments with all necessary safety proceedures in place. You undertake that anyone using the equipment purchased will have read and understood any instructions, guidance notes, precautions or warnings prior to use. You should also ensure any equipment purchased is correctly maintained.
Any information we provide is intended as a guide only and is supplied on an 'as is' basis. Photography may sometimes involve complex technical concepts and decisions which require professional expertise relevant to the specific project and we will not be held liable where incorrect assumptions, interpretations or misapplications of products are made.
Where relevant, operating voltages for electrical equipment are indicated. You should ensure the suitability of operating voltage for the country or countries in which you wish to use the equipment.
We use reputable carriers to deliver your order and wherever possible we notify you of the parcel tracking number(s) to allow your own tracking via the carrier's website. We recommend that you use this tracking facility as it can highlight situations where the carrier is having difficulty successfully delivering your goods. Your making contact with the carrier in these situations will usually resolve such difficulties. We regret that we cannot be held responsible if the carrier or agent has failed to notify you of an attempted delivery - you will need to take this up with the local delivery office for the carrier.
If you supply inaccurate or inadequate address/telephone details and your order is returned to us as a result of this, a charge may be made for re-delivery. If your order is returned to us due to you failing to pick up the goods within the time limits imposed by the carrier or agent, we may treat this as a cancelled order and make a charge to cover our costs for sending these goods to you. You may also be charged at our current tariff if you require the goods to be re-delivered.
In the unlikely event that your goods become lost in transit, we are unable to refund or resend goods until our enquiries have been completed which can take up to 15 working days. We will not be held liable for any damage or consequential loss which arises from delays in delivery of products irrespective of the cause.
All orders are carefully picked and packed against a checklist in our warehouse. In the unlikely event of any shortages in your order, these must be notified to us in writing within 48 hours of receiving your goods.
8. Returns, Exchanges and Cancellation
You may return an item within 7 days of receiving the goods for a full refund of purchase price minus post and packing charges. Items may also be exchanged within 7 days of receiving the goods against other items from our range. For exchanges, a balance refund of the original purchase price minus post and packing will be made by us or a balance payment will be required from you depending on the difference in cost of the items exchanged.
Returned/exchanged items must be unused, complete, clean and in new, saleable condition. Please notify us of your wish to return the item in writing within the 7 days and obtain a returns routing number and our returns warehouse address prior to returning. We will then contact you with a relevant returns number and our warehouse address. You will need to send the goods to us at our returns address for inspection. Please note we are not able to refund against used, dirty, incomplete or damaged items. Items which do not conform will be returned to the purchaser and the return request rejected. Any goods returned without a valid returns number will be refused. The original sales receipt must be included with the returned item.
The cost of return is your responsibility although we can arrange collection (UK mainland only) at a cost of £15.00 GBP. When returning items we suggest the use of a signed for and insured postage method. Returned goods must arrive at our warehouse within 7 days of your notification to return and any refund due will then be made via the original payment method. Orders for items specially created or custom prepared to your specification may not be cancelled.
We provide 12 months warranty against manufacturing defects. This excludes wear and tear, accidental damage or the replacement of consumable items such as photographic light bulbs. A faulty item would be returned to us, inspected and then repaired/replaced at our discretion free of charge. An original purchase receipt would be required.
If your purchase develops a fault, please notify us of your wish to send the item for repair/replacement in writing and obtain a warranty routing number and our warehouse address prior to returning. We will then contact you with a relevant warranty number and our warehouse address. Our warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
