Stage 1 - Main Assembly

1. Softbox components. Fabric reflector on left, 4 frame rods, plastic ring adapter and diffusion fabric on right.

2. Place plastic ring adapter on centre of reflector fabric with square surface upwards. The 4 holes for the frame rods are just above the clamping screws in each corner.

3. Place the first frame rod into one of the adapter ring holes. The larger end of the rod should fit snugly into the ring adapter.

4. Feed the rod through the white elasticated loop near the corner of the reflector. Then place the smaller end of the frame rod into the black fabric loop at the corresponding outer corner of the reflector fabric.

5. Repeat for the second and third frame rods feeding through elasticated white loop and into black fabric loop in corners. At this point the frame will start to have some slight tension.

6. Repeat for the fourth and final rod feeding rod through white elasticated loop before sliding larger inner end into plastic ring adapter.

7. Grasp the outer corner of the reflector fabric with left hand while pushing down firmly onto the fourth rod with the right hand. By applying downwards pressure with the right thumb, the rod will curve upwards allowing...

8. ...the fabric reflector corner to be pulled outwards with the left hand while the rod is positioned into the final black corner loop with the right hand.
